Feng = wind in Chinese; Shui = water. The name refers to the life energy that moves through our spaces in cycles and patterns both seen and unseen. Feng shui shows us how to distinguish between energy that’s supportive versus energy that's draining so we can do more of what works and less of what doesn't. Does that sound too woo-woo? Because I swear this gets practical.

Trust me, I’m a Capricorn.

I'd love for you to join me on this magical mystery tour.

Feng shui's wisdom on how energy moves through our spaces is in our DNA - it's something many of us do instinctually as we arrange and maintain our homes.  But to really make feng shui "work", you have to turn it into a consistent, intentional practice. And once you get what's actually working in your favor you'll want to do this for yourself all the time.

This weekly newsletter is a way for me to explore, appreciate, and manipulate (in a good way!) our home’s energetic influence on my family - and to share those insights with you so we can all benefit from accumulating more auspicious chi in our spaces.  â€‹

While tapping into feng shui adjustments is powerful enough alone, here I blend insights from another ancient cyclical system:  the weekly bible stories (parashot) that follow the Jewish lunar calendar.

I’m not religious, yet living in Israel at this point in history (or really any point in history) with all its complexity and beauty, I find myself compelled to look at the patterns  that have been examined and re-examined in this part of the world, every week, of every year, for millennia.  "What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.” (Ecclesiastes 1:9)

Sometimes the only path to peace, both inside and outside of our homes, means shaking things up and walking through fire. Our spaces can help guide us there -- that’s why this work matters.

And you thought we were here to just put a water fountain in your wealth corner!

Find out where to focus the attention in your home each week:

Tao meets Torah

The weekly parasha (AKA: Torah portion) transforms an ancient text into a continuous conversation across millennia. It provides a common language of stories, metaphors, and ethical dilemmas that infuse everyday life, including our spaces! Here we look at it through the lens of feng shui.

Daily energy focus

By going through yin, yang, and each of the five elements every day of the week, you're systematically creating the conditions for more balance and harmony in your home's chi and your own.

Room of the week

Learn feng shui in bite-sized portions, with a different room or power spot each week. Over time, this knowledge will compound and you’ll start to see the big picture.

Your home has a message for you.
